Day of the Dead Walking Tour on Granville Island.

One of our favorite things about November on Granville Island is being a part of the Day of the Dead Walking Tour! We are honored to have a Calavera Skull in our window for this event.

The Calavera we have in our window is from Carmen Keitsch. She is from Mexico, and her story of life, death and Light is so beautiful, you must come see it in person!

The Tour is on NOW until November 19th.

So get a group of friends/family together, or come alone to walk the Island discovering how so many people deal with life, death and everything in between from many different cultures!

Pebble Studio makes the best underwear documentaries

Back in the spring time we caught the attention of local photographers and videographers Pebble Studio. Thank you to their exceptional skills and our wild models (well one of the models was a camera man with some unexpected enthusiasm) they made the most incredible short doc about how the magic happens. I have been holding onto this video to share at just the right time and I am thrilled to be able to do it now!

We filmed over two days. I wore a mic for the better part of two days. I was a little apprehensive about how silly I might get with a mic attached to my shirt but I can’t deny it’s authentic. Everyone had such great confidence and chemistry running around in underwear hamming it up on camera. You’ve already seen the stills but now you can check it out from behind the scenes!

It is such an honour to, again, be voted 2nd place “Best local designer-clothing store”! Thank you to everyone who took the time to vote for us!

 

And thank you to the team I work with who makes it possible day in and day out. The passionate guys and gals who clip and press, who blog and chat, who dress you up and retail therapy all day, who come up with ideas and make things happen and especially thank you for cleaning up my crafting messes! It takes special people to go out of their way to make things as local, as sustainable, as ethical and as affordable as possible all the while keeping it cutting edge and cute and this team does it better every day.

 

I am also super excited about all the goodies we are getting up to. With solid moving and opening stores and studios every year for the past 6+ years we are finally settling down, though only for a bit, before our next big move, giving us time to make even more underwear than ever!
